ST. DECLANS TERRACE - PROJECT
With superb attention to detail, a well honed eye for design and a bold use of materials, this award winning home in Marino exemplifies how great style can be achieved even when on a tight budget.

The architect specified slim raw concrete countertops to create a crisp contrast with the affordable flat pack kitchen. The white handleless floor to ceiling wall units provide a neutral backdrop whilst the navy coloured island unit detailed with a splash of orange creates a focal point and adds a sense of excitement within the room.

At just 25mm in thickness the concrete countertops create a feeling of weightlessness. The raw finish was achieved using an eco-friendly cement base before being lightly polished and sealed using a high-grade food safe sealer that lasts forever with little to no maintenance.

The island unit also features concrete end panels which creates a sense of continuity and plays to the use of geometric lines within the overall design. The kitchen is finished off with a stainless steel undermounted sink and tall chrome tap.
